WHAT ARE CHANNELS IN PALZIN TRACK?

Channels in Palzin Track serve a similar purpose to projects, acting as containers for logs. However, channels are designed to group logs based on their specific type or category. For instance, you can establish channels dedicated to payment logs, authentication logs, or any other distinct log types relevant to your application. This organization enables efficient filtering of logs based on their respective types. Channels are associated with a particular project, allowing users to create as many channels as necessary within a project. Here's a guide on how to create a channel:

1. Access your project:

  • Ensure you're within the desired project. If you haven't created a project yet, you can refer to the tutorial on creating a project to initiate one.

2. Initiate channel creation:

  • Click on the Import icon positioned at the left of the project sidebar named as "Events & Charts". Click on "Create Channels" for creating a new channel.

3. Specify the channel name:

  • Enter the desired name for the channel you wish to create. For example, if you're establishing a channel for payment logs, input "payment" as the channel name.
  • It's important to note that channel names must be unique within a project and can only consist of lowercase letters and dashes. For instance, "payment-logs" is a valid channel name, while "payment_logs" is not.

4. Finalize channel creation:

  • Once you've entered the channel name, click on the "Add New Channel" button.
  • Subsequently, your newly created channel will appear in the project menu, ready to receive logs. You can now begin sending logs to this channel.
